Girl, you're only 17. You have your whole life ahead of you, so please don't put this much pressure on yourself. You're allowed to have preferences, whether that's height, financial stability or anything else, but don't confuse being loved with being compatible. You don't owe someone a relationship just because they love you deeply, and you certainly shouldn't stay out of guilt or fear of what they might do. If he threatens to hurt himself, inform someone close to him rather than taking that responsibility on yourself. Be honest with him, don't give him false hope, and most importantly, don't settle for someone you're unsure about. You deserve to choose someone because you genuinely want them, not because you feel obligated to.
