Someone once asked...
Someone answered with kindness...
I want you to understand one thing: You can love someone and still be afraid of letting them back into your life. And that's completely okay. You went through two really difficult months. You cried, you struggled, and you probably spent a lot of time trying to make peace with the fact that the relationship was over. And now, suddenly, he's back. His apology might be genuine. Maybe he really does want to change. But there's something important here: An apology can open the door to forgiveness, but consistent actions are what rebuild trust. I want you to consider a few things. 1. Don't confuse missing him with being ready for him. You might miss the conversations, the memories, the comfort and the person you fell in love with. But that doesn't automatically mean you're ready to experience the relationship again. Take your time. 2. You don't have to make a decision right now. You don't have to say yes just because he's apologising. And you don't have to say no just because you're scared. You can tell him that you still have feelings for him, but you need time to understand whether trusting him again is something you can genuinely do. 3. Watch his actions, not his promises. If he genuinely wants to change, he should be willing to: - Respect your boundaries. - Understand why you're scared. - Take responsibility without making excuses. - Give you time instead of demanding an immediate answer. - Show consistency rather than changing for a few days. And remember, you don't owe him another chance just because he regrets losing you. 4. Don't abandon the person you became during those two months. You worked through a difficult period. Don't ignore your own emotional well-being just because someone you love has returned. Your feelings matter just as much as his. Something I'd really like to ask you. I don't want to give you generic relationship advice without understanding what happened. What exactly caused your breakup two months ago? Was it: 1. He lied to you or broke your trust. 2. He stopped putting effort into the relationship. 3. He repeatedly hurt you despite knowing how you felt. 4. You both had misunderstandings and things eventually fell apart. 5. Something else. I'm asking because there's a big difference between someone who made a mistake, understands it and takes responsibility, and someone who repeatedly follows the same pattern. And one last thing: You don't have to stop loving him to start protecting yourself. ❤️
