“I am really confused if I should reach out tomy ex first right now. It's been 7 months since our breakup but he has been popping up since last month. He is asking about me to my friends, talking about me kindly to them and has been considerate. The situation was I needed his help for some work in my college so I asked my friend to ask my ex if he would help but the only condition was he had to help me. I was expecting him to say no right away but surprisingly he said yes and was saying that he can help me only if I was comfortable. I was happy that I got some help because I had a lot of work but I was also excited to talk to him again after so much time missing him and dying to talk to him again. But at the last moment he had some personal commitments to go for so he said that he was so sorry and will not be helping me. After that, he talked to my sister and her bf about me and said that he was really sorry that he couldn't help me, he said that he really wanted to help but he could not make it due to some personal commitments. He has been doing this since last month he is talking about me to the people close to me but not me. We are in the same college, we see each other every other day but he never came to me. He talked to me sister's bf (my sister's bf is a close friend of mine) about the work right in front of me but not me. I don't if I should reach out to him and I guess message him or talk to him in person in college about everything. Because I did not expect him to be so open and kind about me, i thought he hated me after our breakup but I don't think he does but I don't think he is waiting for me as well. So I want to know if I should reach out to him and talk about what had happened and clear the misunderstandings. I really appreciated our friendship before we were dating so I was thinking if I should aplogize to him for whatever happened and maye restart the friendship. I would be really grateful for any advice.”

Someone answered with kindness...
Well Idk what made you guys break up if it's some sort of misunderstanding then yeah it's fine to try and resolve it but I don't think it's a very good idea to be friends with your ex, but yeah ig you really want to break that no contact then do it BUT it's very important that you observe that if he is also as interested as you and also be very sure to thoroughly resolve ur misunderstandings and problems before you officially go into a relationship again but if he wants to keep it vague then I advise you to stop and move on and no matter what please don't try to be friends with your ex
