Someone once asked...
Someone answered with kindness...
You carry two kinds of weight at once: self‑doubt from comparing yourself with coworkers, and the split between what you know logically and what you emotionally feel. AI is a tool for speed, not a measure of your worth. Some people move fast with shortcuts, while others work carefully. Different ways of working do not make you less capable. The fear that others are waiting to discard you often grows from your own anxiety. When you already believe you are not good enough, you tend to read ordinary behaviour as rejection. Knowing “work should not define me” and truly feeling it are very different. You cannot shut off these heavy thoughts in one day. Do not fight them. Simply notice them for what they are: anxious thoughts, not facts. Your value does not live in how quickly you finish work, or how well you use AI. Who you are stays whole outside your job. A difficult task or slower pace is only about that task — it is not the whole of you. Be gentle with yourself when insecurity arises.
