Someone once asked...

“i aim to become a officer in defence services - i like doing hard and unconventional things i like to challenge myself and i admire officers and their brave stories a lot and it resonates with me, i think i also follow along those same characteristics as a person. im fully capable of becoming a great officer. my only problem is maybe i have bad luck or i dont prepare well but i am facing trouble with clearing my interviews for the same. i know i lack discipline which partly comes out of the fact that i spend a lot of time stressed due to circumstances i cant help with and that i spend time isolated as well not performing any recrreational activites so i guess i feel depressed but not actually depressed just frustrated that im not where i want to be and im actively not working towards it even though i know that i should. i just cant put this loop in words”

Someone answered with kindness...

I think you're being a little too hard on yourself. From what you've written, it doesn't sound like you lack the capability or the passion. It sounds like you're caught in a cycle where your circumstances affect your motivation, and then the lack of progress makes you even more frustrated with yourself. And honestly, sometimes knowing what you want so badly but feeling unable to work towards it can be more frustrating than not knowing what you want at all. Maybe you don't need to figure everything out at once. Start with small, consistent steps instead of waiting until you feel completely ready. Also, don't mistake a difficult phase for a lack of potential. I hope you get where you want to be.
