just be yourself, and try not to just fit in. if you see someone you think may have similar interests to you, don't be afraid to find out, or strike up a conversation. be gentle, open-minded, and don't take rejection to personally (as hard as that may seem). who knows? maybe opening up one topic that they're not familiar with may start a conversation about other things you two have in common.
