Someone once asked...
Someone answered with kindness...
There are two answers, based on your situation. The first is to work elsewhere, but you may find the situation at the new workplace to be the same. Similarly, you might be able to not work for anyone at all, but this is a rare situation. If these are not possible for you - as they are not for many or most people - try to think about it less. It is a just job, not who you are as a person. It is seductive to feel frustrated and different from the crowd; it is likely true that it is causing some of your skills to atrophy. The latter aspect is certainly frustrating, and I can understand how it would impact your sense of self and self-worth. But it is not the end of the world. It is firmly within the strata of "things you have agency over how much you care about them". Sometimes it is better to focus less on negative parts of a job, and to swim happily (though perhaps stupidly) with the current. It is likely not worth hating your weekdays for. That is an enormous sacrifice. If you love your craft, there is always the weekend.

Creativity will always be the moat but right now its about adaptability. In the future anthropic might pay you for your original thoughts. Software development is collapsing into business development. Elevate your curiosity and design skills above implementation details and into what makes your companies domain tick. If your company provides no mechanism for that then it will not last.
