I don't know if there's a definite way to see if the path you're on is the right one. Just remember that it's not always necessary for you to only follow one specific path. If you want to, and if you put enough effort, you can switch the direction of your life however you please. For now, just go with what feels right. Follow a career path you really enjoy, make friends with people that make you genuinely happy, go places that interest you, etc. I can't guanrantee that you will always make the best decisions, but every decision made is a step towards your path, and no decision is all bad.
