just do it, i know its cliché but literally what is the worst that could happen, that is what I base all my decisions off of, asking someone out or making a move cannot hurt anyone that much its a basic human interaction that happens every day and so why not just ask and find out because otherwise you'll jut keep thinking about him and you'll never have the confidence to make a move
