My advice is that you’ll never feel completely comfortable about the future, and that the plans you want to make might fall apart—that’s not a bad thing; it’s simply a possibility. You must be aware that even though there’s a chance something might go wrong, that’s no reason to give up—quite the opposite: the fact that you might make a mistake or that something might go wrong through no fault of your own gives you that very motivation to push yourself. You shouldn’t feel bad just because something might go wrong. Be grateful that everything can turn out well, and if it doesn’t, you’ll learn. When you always win, you don’t discover, you don’t learn, and you don’t reflect. Improvement and expertise in any area of your life are based solely on how many times you fall and how many times you get back up. You don’t improve by winning—you improve by falling, by eating dirt, bleeding, crying, and suffering. It will all pass; you’ll lose a lot, and, my God, you’ll suffer even more, but the fact that this happens isn’t a reason to give up—it’s a reason to learn, get back up, and keep going.

I don't agree. Life can be successfully planned when the plans are realistic. That's like asking how to be comfortable with losing a finger. Don't stick your finger in the path of the blade and you will find great joy in the things you build.
