Someone once asked...

How can I find a “why”? There is the saying “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how". I am not suicidal to any degree, but I feel stagnant and stuck, with nothing concrete to drive me forward, to push myself toward, to fight for, or to make more of myself for. I want a purpose to strive after, but can’t seem to understand or find one.

Someone answered with kindness...

Ime, all 'why's are built upon other people. The kinds of people are always different, but it's always people. I'd start trying to find a community you'd like to exist in, then contributing to it (the easier way to do that is to "keep showing up", ime, until you're undeniably a part of it). Working for/with the people there (which doesn't even have to be a physical place) is the strongest 'why' i can think of Note that it has to be people who are reasonable. You cannot use a hate-group as a community of this kind, because they *will* shed members on a whim. The people should be decent as a baseline (which is the majority, so it's fine)
