Someone once asked...

“Have you ever felt like you weren’t human? like something fundamental is missing in you, not in an “edgy” way, but in the sense that maybe, I’m kinda like a caveman, displaced, watching people interact with each other and how they interact with me as if I were some kind of foreign animal, almost as if I were a bootleg version of a well-adjusted person? It's funny, it used to be worse. I feel a little more human now, but is it like that for everyone else, too?”

Someone answered with kindness...

This is not normal, get tested for mental conditions and see a psychologist if nessesary, your point of view is curious.

Another soul answered...

I don't mean to be offering medical advice with this, so please take this with many grains of salt. I can only speak from my experience and the experience of those around me, but I have found this to be a common sentiment among autistic people.

No, but my brain has done weird stuff to me too. Don't worry too much about your humanity, just do what you think is right.

Another soul answered...

Yeah when I was in Highschool, I thought I was legit an alien. Then I got an xray and saw all of my bones. Yeah everyone feels that way, they just dont always talk about it. You arent alone. It gets better.

sigh. yeah... but if you want to stop that, there's a way. you might be spending too much time in your own head, so the key is to let your senses take over. do more activities where thinking too hard isn't required, it will ground you a little. It helps melt that layer of plexiglass between you and the world, yk?
