I’m sorry you had to go through all of that, but some things in life are just unfortunate and no matter how difficult they were, they eventually have to become a part of the past. Holding on to those memories for too long can affect your present and the way you live your life. I’m not saying those things weren’t painful or that you shouldn’t feel bad about them, but at some point you have to look at things with a more open mind and a positive perspective. There’s a quote that says something like, if you hold on to something for too long, you might start believing it’s saving you, while all along it’s only hurting you. Sometimes we hold on to things because letting go feels difficult, but in the process we end up hurting ourselves even more. You have to learn to accept what happened, take it as a lesson, and move forward instead of letting those memories hold you back.

I hope those words heals you. Also, regarding insomnia and PTSD, medications like sertraline are good for PTSD, while melatonin may help with sleep. There are drugs called benzodiazepine you should avoid them at any cost. (Don’t take those even if a doctor recommends)But honestly, I think you should consult a qualified doctor who can properly assess your condition and suggest the right medication and treatment for you. Don’t self-medicate, take care of yourself.
