Someone once asked...

“Everyone in my life tells me that I don’t eat enough. I’m too skinny, my stomach has disappeared, my arm and fingers are too small, and a few more. The thing is, I’m healthy. No eating disorder and my doctor says I’m perfectly okay but my brain thinks I’m malnourished. When I eat I always leave food on the plate and every time my mom says something like “you eat like a mouse” or “you’re wasting food”. Another thing is my parents don’t force me to eat food. If I say I’m done they just sigh and throw away the leftovers. My situation seems so weird and normal at the same time. I’m not asking for a solution, I just wanna know if my story is weird or normal.”

I think it's normal. There's nothing wrong with you just because you don't eat as much as the next, and I'm sure you're amazing how you are.

There is lots of variety in metabalism, so it's all normal. overeating and making yourself sick is worse than wasting food. I throw up from overeating very easily, so im sensitive about it but not in a disordered way; i have boundaries about stopping eating when it stops feeling good, even if there's two bites left sometimes i dont finish if my body's done. I eat salads with no dressing and my mom always says it makes me look like a rabbit, moms just say those things.
