“Can you hate your family and still love them? i feel like they do everything for me except understand me and listen to me. Emotionally I'm a burden to them. My family has abandoned me many times and neglected me when i needed them the most, i begged them to just listen and understand but instead they got angry and irritated for i acted too depressed and numb. I can't stay unhappy or sad or even too happy or too energetic. its like there no place for me to fit in. for the last 2 yrs i don't feel like i belong in this house. I'm 18 and since im a girl and indian i cant move out, they didnt send me to a college to another city cause of that too. I just wanna leave soo bad but i feel like im stuck. can anyone also advice me how to survive this and make it out too??”

Emotions can coexist, so its totally understandable to hate. yet love your family. But living in a househould where you feel like your feelings are getting shut down will tear you down. I would advice you to move out IF your economically secure, and if not, try finding a way to make money, or to get in contact with maybe a friend or someone to help you with living. And for surviving, i would say stay out of your house every oppurinity you get, because i know firsthand how suffocating it must feel like at home. Maybe telling your family youre going on walks or something.
