Someone once asked...

“Am i a chud?”

✦

Someone answered with kindness...

It depends, do you want to be? As a former chud myself, I took a long look in the mirror and realized I did not like who I was. I was a fundamentally unkind person, who hurt more people than he helped. Because of those things, I was single and nowhere near finding a relationship, and even struggled with friends. Now, despite the fact I would see myself as a fairly unattractive man, I have a beautiful wife and a great social life. I make efforts to be kinder every day. I make sure that I put as much as possible into the lives of those around me and find an Agape-style (if you aren't familiar, learn about the different Greek words for love and how to practice them) for everyone and everything around me. I've focused more on understanding those around me, especially those different from me. I listen to people, and try to find ways to love them. For these reasons, I am not a chud. It is easy to be a chud, there are entire systems designed to make people into chuds, but you don't have to be one. You can always find a way to make the world a better place, and if you are doing that now, then I don't think you are a chud. If you contribute to a worse world, then you probably are a chud, but it is never too late to change. Remember, you are deserving and worthy of love, and capable of deep personal growth always. Even if you aren't making the world better now, the world is still better off with you in it, because you can always change for the better. I end on this, if you haven't seen the classic movie "It's a Wonderful Life," go and watch it. If you resemble George Bailey, then you are not a chud. If you don't, there is always time to be like George Bailey. I hope you find the better life I think you're looking for, and I believe in you!
